Not all Middle School Teachers are Drama teachers.
All Middle School Teachers are Anti-Drama teachers.
If you live with a child age 12-14 you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.
And don’t forget to tell these remarkable teachers of strange-creatures-of-puberty-and-poor-judgment THANK YOU for being out there for our kids. It is a tough job for for the brave of heart and spirit.
The 4 teachers at my daughter’s small public charter school have all of my respect and admiration.
So your assignment for next week: Say THANK YOU to a Middle School Teacher. They are the brave ones, the wise ones, the tough ones.

I have to admit, I do deeply admire Teenage-teachers! I don’t have kids – let alone Teenage kids – but I do remember my own Teenage days and how some of the Teachers had to “suffer”… *sigh*
When I was a child I had in mind of becoming a teacher… for about a year. I have to admit, I’m glad I NEVER followed that career path. Not only would I be completely WRONG at this place due to my genetic impatience…

You are so right. My wife teaches 5th grade for that very reason. She wanted no part of Kindergarten or First Grade, and she absolutely wanted the least drama as possible. She seems happy with her decision to stay in 5th grade. Our youngest son just turned 15, so I’m pretty sure I know where you’re coming from with this. *grins*

Years ago my husband attempted to teach middle school. He ended up in a depression and now he sells beer and wine for a living. Huge applause for those middle school teachers and all the teachers that help our kids grow!
Being a teacher is a difficult job. Shaping kids and having patience is a great skill. I’m thankful people desire to be teachers.
