Political Thoughts for Dog Lovers.
A man who is running for president hates dogs, and more or less all pets and people who have them. He sees pets as a dirty weakness (unlike porn stars). He picks as a running mate a woman who kills dogs. The man who is running against the man who hates dogs, says he likes dogs but he won’t have his dogs trained and doesn’t love them enough to spend the time to socialize them. The woman who is running with him has a cute fuzzy dog. I’m not a big fan of her politically (she is weak) but she loves her dog and takes care of it. I dare not ask their opinions on cats. I am sure with the top two it is negative.
For those still dating
If someone doesn’t like dogs or cats break up with them.
If she doesn’t like your pets break up with her. If he wants you to get rid of your cat, break up with him. If it is a cat one day then it will be something else (like you, or your kid) the next day. I’ve broken up with someone because I didn’t like their family or friends but never because I didn’t like their dog or cat.
They don’t have to have pets. Not everyone wants pets, or has the time for them, or can afford them (yes, vet bills are expensive.) But people who hate animals are assholes. You don’t like to like them, but if hate them you’re an asshole.
The is all I have to say today on the subject. Stay safe. Pet your dogs and cats. Take good care of them.
Most important of all: When you bring an animal into your home it is FOREVER. If it is not going to be forever then don’t bring them into your life. The trauma of losing a family, being abandoned, and being unloved is almost worse with pets than it is with humans. You are their everything – even for antisocial garden kitties. YOU ARE THEIR WORLD. Don’t be an asshole. If you know you might have to one day give them up because you are not at a place in your life where you know you can give them the attention and care they need, and keep them forever then don’t have them.
And spay and neuter your pets. If you don’t you will get another big red asshole check next to your name.

I have always found it suspicious when someone says to me they hate animals! I knew a woman once who said this and I asked why? What caused that to happen? She was incredibly defensive and aggressive about the situation. I can’t trust anyone who says they hate animals!
Absolutely. There is something wrong with them. No empathy. No heart. No soul.
