Smoke

Fire season has started. It seems as if everything exploded a few days ago. The air smells like smoke. Ashes cover cars and any other outdoor surfaces. 

I took this photo yesterday from my front yard. It was about 8:00 a.m.

The glowing orange ball is the sun.

I’m about forty miles from the nearest fire. There are many. I know I’ve mentioned before that I’m worried about the parks near where I live, including behind my own home, catching fire.

My heart goes out to those who are in active fire areas, and to those who are fighting the fires.
