Oh fairy dust
And tiny gossamer
Temptations of lust
With promises of dreams
Dancing around his
Bed like an ear worm
From Hell.
My brother Andy told me that the fairies had come back to his house for the summer and were driving him crazy. As a rule fairies don’t like the heat so they cluster in coastal areas like San Francisco. They also like to live around Vampires, for obvious reasons – Vampires are cool, and they can see fairies, and they know what kind of movies and snacks fairies like.
“I’m thinking about moving out of here anyway,” he told me. “The streets stink and nothing is the same anymore. The magic is leaving, and I’m not talking about witches.”
“Even in your neighborhood?” I asked.
“Not here. Not yet.”
“Where would you go?”
“That’s the problem. I’ve lived here so long that I don’t know where I’d end up.”
“What about the fairies?”
“They’ll find someone else to bother.”
Stay cool everyone. It is going to be a long hot weekend.

Did Andy move in the meantime? I doubt he will, I’m sure, Vampires love Fairies as much as the other way around. Magic finds magic, right?
