Senior Dogs Need Holiday Cheer

It always breaks my heart when I see postings about senior dogs who need homes. Many senior dogs need homes because their owners passed away and there is no family to take them in (or family refuses to take them.) Some people are just assholes and give their senior dogs and cats away for purely selfish reasons (boyfriend/girlfriend doesn’t like animals, they move, they don’t want to deal with an old animal, the pet isn’t cute anymore.)

My cat Oscar is old and grumpy. He pees and craps everywhere just for the hell of it. He screams and demands food. He is no longer my sweet baby cat. But would I get rid of him? HELL NO.

Also, Senior facilities, nursing homes, hospices, shelters, and everywhere else need to allow people to bring their pets with them. I swear having pets keeps the elders in my life going.

If you’re in the Sacramento area please pass the information from the December 1, Orangevale View on to anyone who might be able to help. Buddy and Truvy need homes for Christmas.
