Friends, Vampires, Fellow Bloggers…

Juliette aka Vampire Maman

Lend me your ears… Actually what I need is your voice.

In September I’ll be speaking at WordCamp Sacramento about Personal Blogging, Community Building, and Letting Your Unique Voice Shine.

Yes, that means I’ll be sharing my own stories of my blogging experiences.

The one thing that we all share is that we’re a unique bunch. We might not have 25,000 followers but we have the best followers.

Share a tiny bit of your story with me so I may share it with others who share our unique world of blogging.

Below are a few standard questions to get you going… I don’t expect anyone to answer all of them. Just one. Or just a comment not included in the questions below would be great.

  • What do you like about blogging?
  • What keeps you blogging year after year?
  • Do you have a fun start-up story?
  • Why do you follow the blogs you do?
  • What is one of your favorite blog posts?
  • How do you feel about your readers?
  • Has writing made you a better writer/artist/person/vampire/cat-owner/poet/cook/cartoonist/photographer/muser/musician/reader/observer/parent/fop-and-dandy/teacher, or anything else?
  • What have you learned from blogging?
  • What WP tools help you the most with blogging?
  • Are you having fun?
  • Anything else? I’m open for any comments about your experience blogging.

Leave any comments below in the comments box, or email me at juliettevampiremom

I’ll be contacting a few of you personally.

Thanks so much. I know I wouldn’t still be doing this without your support and friendship.

And thank you for not being afraid of Vampire, teenagers, or parents.

  1. [ Smiles ] I like blogging because it allows me to express myself via my blog posts and it also grants me the opportunity to interact with my fellow bloggers.

And, yes, I do enjoy blogging.

  2. I you follow the blogs you do in order to stay in touch with people and ideas I like. Following personal blogs helps me know what is going on in the wide world of my far flung friends. The artistic blogs I follow give me inspiration to try new things. I suppose blogs, for me, are replacing letter writing and classes at the community center.

  3. I blog for the sheer joy of sharing my stories and characters with my readers. I love being able to interact with my readers and reading their reactions to the various situations my characters find themselves in.

With every chapter I write, I think “Oh! I can’t wait to see what they say about this part.”

  4. I started blogging to document my vocation journey as I joined a religious order. Things went a bit awry in 2015 when I was told to stop blogging, and I haven’t quite got my writing mojo back yet, but I keep on reading and following and encouraging the people who I do follow.

Maybe I need to set myself a target of posting once a month, in the same way that I’m expected to have a retreat day once a month.

  5. Hi, very interesting blog. I thought I would submit to you in hops that you might spread the word, my Vampire novel. The Blood Bond Chronicles. I’m recently released but I’d like to send you my link to my webpage where you can read the first 6 chapters for free. It’s an adult read, it’s not twilight. Just trying to get exposure. If you enjoy the 6 I would certainly send you the entire 26 chapter first book in the series.
    Here is the book trailer

Hope you enjoy. Thanks for the time in reading this.

    1. Looks like fun. I’ll get back to you. To everyone else reading this John is part of a Vampire Writer’s Support group I belong to. Loads of talent there. I’ll be doing a post about the members and sharing their work soon.
