Hollywood Forever Cemetery,
Los Angeles, CA
Hollywood Forever is in the shadow of the famous Hollywood sign, and neighbor to Paramount Studio. It is a beautiful place filled with interesting graves, famous graves, beautiful stained glass, and a lot of surprises. The surprises include a colony of cats and peacocks.
Unfortunately today was HOT, and a movie was being filmed, plus there were several funerals so we didn’t get to tour the entire grounds. What we saw was super interesting. Due to the pandemic it was also lacking in tourists today.
I managed a few photos to share. Enjoy.

Thank you so much for sharing these. Anton Yelchin and Johnny Ramone in particular are just…wow.
Thank you for dropping by. I’m glad you enjoyed the post/photos. Seeing Anton Yelchin was moving and unexpected. He was so young and his accidental death was so tragic. Johnny was awesome. Due to filming, construction, funerals, and the heat we only saw a small portion of Hollywood Forever. It is such an interesting place. The photos don’t do justice to the Tiffany windows. We didn’t have a map so any famous graves were surprises. I hope to go back when it is cooler and see the other 3/4. Forest Lawn, the other big Los Angeles cemetery is also on the list of places to see in 2021.

Amazing photos dear Juliette. So many legends resting in peace.
Thanks. A friend of mine just told me all of her family was there. I was surprised at so much of the humor, joy, and love in the monuments. Unfortunately we were discouraged from taking photos of non-famous people. Some of those monuments were so beautiful and unusual. But it is something how we make connections with artists we admire.
I agree. I go to the Veteran’s day activities. I take pictures of the ones with odd gifts. Wine bottle, cigarettes and the coins. A graveyard. A somber place.
I really like your beautiful blog. A pleasure to come stroll on your pages. A great discovery and a very interesting blog. I will come back to visit you. Do not hesitate to visit my universe. See you soon.
