Musings on Strolling the Galleries at The National Museum of Art

Artistic Spirits

Strolling the galleries

I could feel the pull

Of artworks beckoning

Calling out my name

Ghosts of the artists lingering

Winking at me

Like some guy thinking of

A good pick up line.

Then across the way

I would see a work

So unassuming

Nonchalantly

Not caring what anyone thought

Either in it’s own thoughts

Or just resting quietly

Until

The right person

Came along

To quietly visit

And marvel

At the brush strokes

Colors

And unassuming brilliance

That captures one’s soul.
