I see my face in the mirror. Brown hair, hazel eyes, a serious look ready to laugh at any second, a mouth ready for a kiss. A pretty face in a cold glass backed with silver looking out like a ghost of my soul.
But you might see a shadow, or a ripple like water or an impressionist painting. You might see nothing.
Look into my eyes then follow them to the glass and you will see your reflection and you will see mine. Look away and I will be gone.

Yes! That thing of time and space. One minute we’re here, then we’re not! This is lovely, Juliette.
I’m glad you like it. Thank you.
Nice post 😀
Thank you so much.
You know, Juliette, this is really special. I like it very much. This, to me, is a wonderfully sensitive description of a fleeing moment… very nice!
Thank you. Check out the link for the back story.
Nice! Reminds me of one of my favorite cuts from “Natalie Merchant Retrospective” – a duet she did with Michael Stipe called “Photograph” -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLkwmC4G0C0
Morgan that is so beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing it. I’m surprised I’d never heard it before – I’ll be downloading it to my iPhone.
Mahvellous, mah deah…, simply mahvellous !!! You have touched the light fantastic, J. A fleeting moment never again to grace our lives. Great one !!!
No that I liked it at all, at all !
(the 1st word in the last line should have been “NOT”. Contrary to popular belief, I do know how to spell. I just choose to be not so prideful and arrogant as to be perfect all the time – just some of it)
HA HA HA HA! You’re making me laugh.
And speaking of spelling, you wouldn’t believe (or maybe you would) how many times I go back and correct my spelling errors in this blog.
