Some End of the Year Thoughts about Girls and Women in 2021

In 2021 Women’s Rights were attacked with the goal to be weakened and taken away. This was despite the fact that we have a female Vice President, and women on the Supreme Court. Sometimes women work against other women. Women do that way too often.

The women who work against other women are those who live in their smug little lives and can’t see a big wide world outside of their marriage, church, and their own family.

Most women have rich and wonderful lives outside of their marriages, church, and family. That doesn’t mean they don’t love their husbands and families. It just means they have rich and wonderful lives.

On that note, girls are still growing up with unrealistic expectations about beauty and what it means to be beautiful. Stick figures who look like walking skeletons grace the pages of online clothing retailers and magazines. Models have pads put into their leggings to look like they have huge butt implants. Everywhere girls are bombarded with images that are so skewed that nobody knows what is real.

Boys and men get the superficial crap and pressure to look like something that isn’t real as well.

But nobody is giggling and calling Mom Bods cute.

I often say that many famous people look beautiful because they have makeup artists, hair stylists, clothing stylists, and get their nails done once a week. Personal trainers are in there as well. They must look good. It is their job. If they don’t the scum paparazzi hunt them down and publish photos of them unadorned and in their hideous natural state as they to the grocery store or take their dogs out for a walk.

When it comes to rights, or lack of equal rights, you know my view. It is the influence of religion and so called “traditions” that keep women as sex objects and less than equal citizens who have no rights over their own bodies or any other parts of their lives.

I could go on, but you get the point. I hope you get the point.

So what do I hope for 2022? Less bull shit. A better world for girls and women everywhere. In turn that means a better world for boys and men.
