Sometimes we play the “what ever happened to ____________ game.”
My brother Val mentioned a woman he dated who brought her brother on almost every single date. He described it as sort of incestuous. Ick. The woman never got married, not that it mattered, but I wasn’t surprised.
My daughter said a friend from high school got religion in all the worst ways – including pushing is extreme “everyone else is going to hell” beliefs on her. That was sad because they were such good friends. They lost touch.
My husband mentioned a friend who left an abusive husband, then she and her children all became Vampires and are happily living in the Pacific Northwest.
Then he wondered about the two guys we used to know who always wore matching outfits. They were just friends, not lovers or brothers, but they always dressed the same when they were out in public.
I thought about a lot of people, some gone now, some not. I know what happened to them, but as is my nature, I didn’t say anything. I wouldn’t want anyone to think that I ever thought about them. I don’t really think about them but…well you know how it is. I will give information if asked on a need to know basis.
On the other hand, if it is good information, as in happy good, I will be happy to tell the story. We all are. We’d much rather know that people we liked did well.
Then there are those people who lock Werewolves in basements, and seal Vampires up in crypts. It never goes well for those people. Never.
Anyway, Halloween will be here before we know it, so I’m sure all of us will be able to pull some scary stories out of our proverbial hats.
~ Juliette aka Vampire Maman
I don’t have a basement or a crypt. But I do have a cat who’d probably object to werewolves being in the house. Especially if they use his scratching pad…
My cats would feel the same way.
