It is Tuesday night and the kids said we HAD to keep watching America’s Got Talent. Last week we LOVED the Goth kid, Andrew De Leon, with the high voice. OMG he was sweet. However, he needs to dust the weird contacts and the dark eye make-up, otherwise he’d be very cute. His family was sweet too.
Yes, we vampires appreciate someone who is different in a world where being different can mean disaster and even death.

So for my husband Teddy (the dad) this is not his favorite night (so he pretends) so he makes cocktails. Tonight it is the famous summer favorite – The Blood Sucker.
Blood Sucker
1 cup ice
1 1/2 ounces gin
1/2 ounce cherry-flavored brandy
1/4 ounce triple sec
1/4 ounce blood (your choice)
4 ounces pineapple juice
1/2 ounce lime juice
1/2 ounce grenadine syrup
1 cup ice
1 slice fresh pineapple
1 maraschino cherry
Teddy grabbed me by the waist and pulled me close. “Let’s leave the kids alone and go out to a couple of clubs for a hunt.” He kissed my neck. “Then we can come back here and I’ll bit you in places…”
“Mom, have you seen my Panic at the Disco shirt?” one of the offspring yelled.
“Look in the dryer honey.” I called back. “Yes, sounds like a good idea. I’ll order sushi for the kids and they can record the show for me.”
So I hope it will be a good show tonight. Cocktails can wait. It’s fresh blood and one HOT fresh vampire guy for me!
