It is going to be 113 F here in Northern California today. Not a good thing for Vampires (or regular humans). I’m going to try to find a cool dark place for my children and me, and advise you do the same.
In the meantime I’m sharing a calm and cool image for everyone.
Actually…I’m dealing with back to school stuff, some work deadlines and dealing with the most annoying couple in the world. I swear, they are going to either drive me crazy or I’m send them to the place no good Vampire wants to go.
We have recent converts in the house – otherwise known as New Vampires. Of all the people in the world to have to train. These people should have NEVER been turned into Vampires. Never. Sigh. Maybe they’ll spend too much time in the sun today (he he he) .
So enjoy the photo (Moro Bay State Park) and thanks for letting me vent.

Watch yourself in that heat. Don’t want anything happening to you. Take care and hopefully the heat wave will end soon.
Thanks. : ) It should start to cool down (in the 90’s) by Wednesday. I just want to remind everyone in extra hot zones to put out LOTS of water for pets. Also check in on elderly friends and family members, and others who might need extra help. Older folks will often keep the air conditioning down because they are afraid of high utility bills (depression babies) or in the case of one of my friends – they don’t realize how hot it is. And whatever you do – don’t leave pets, kids or food in your car during the heat wave.
I feel your pain. For most of July in Oklahoma we were getting temps between 107-114 degrees every day with no break. I’m thankful to say the high temps have finally cooled down these last few days to around 100 or just a little above. This summer has really been a scorcher. Hope you get your break soon as well!
We’ll all just end up under the house! Hope you get a break soon too!
I just saw the forecast. We are supposed to be getting some desperately needed rain tommorow and that’s going to drop the temperature. Now if you could just get some too!
