My husband’s mother had a deep set belief that there was something morally wrong with a woman who could not cook. She equated not being able to cook with being a prostitute.
In fact she once said (according to my husband) “If you’re going to marry a woman who can’t cook you might as well marry a whore. At least she’d be good at something.”
Actually I doubt if she ever said that out loud but I know she thought it.
Thanksgiving is coming up.
As Vampires we can still have the “Over the river and through the woods” experience. Our homes can be cozy retreats for family and friends giving thanks. We can still watch the never ending football games and take walks in the woods. We do crossword puzzles, play board games, drink too much and indulge in whatever family fun takes our fancy. We’ll watch some movies (but nothing sucks as bad as Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter).
We can still have dinner (the picture above IS NOT my family but it still makes me feel all warm and fuzzy).
We can have guests for dinner if we want. We have in the past, but this year we won’t (because our guests know we’re Vampires and they aren’t people we, you know…whatever).

Interesting Thanksgiving menu – for a Vampire family I mean. 🙂
We eat a little but mostly just enjoy the company of family and friends. It is more the idea of cooking and the cozy smells that make us all happy.
The menu sounds delectable. I can’t imagine what to suggest for dessert, as I imagine most have too much sugar for a vampire.
Everything does have too much sugar in it for us – so we’ll save the sweets for our guests and stick with wine.
