Bonjourno

I am home from a two week adventure in Italy, complete with Christmas trees, “Planes, Trains and Automobiles” style adventures, and finding those lost shadows, and romance for the soul.
So many handsome men, so many cute dogs, SO MUCH ART.

And coffee. Oh the coffee.
And the wine.
I’ll be posting my stories soon. But I’m back for 2018 with new features, new blog posts, new insights on parenting, relationships, elders, tall tales, and critters.
When we arrived home around midnight this morning we were greeted by rain and the sound of millions of frogs.
It is always good to travel, but it is good to be home.

Welcome back! What in the world is up with all of those locks in that first picture?
Lovers put their initials on locks and put them on the bridge. I don’t think they’re supposed to do that. There are bridges all over the world with Lovers Locks. I understand it is a bad problem in Paris but who is to say what is a problem when it comes to love.
Kind of like the Gum Wall in Seattle but not as disgusting.
I had never heard of the Gum Wall either. So many neat things out there in this big ol’ world…

A belated welcome home! People were trying to do the lock thing on the swing bridge in Whitby (yes, that Whitby) but I think the council keep removing them, because the bridge is kind of vital – it’s in the middle of the town centre and the next bridge is quite a way away. The weight of many locks would mess up the mechanism or something, and we’re romantic enough in Whitby – espeically at the Goth weekends.
