Random thoughts about Vampires and Cliches

The other day I received a call from Randolpho who asked me not to make Vlad into a cliche when transcribing Vlad’s diary.

I told Randolpho that if Vlad sounds like a cliche then it is his own fault.

I didn’t even know Vlad knows what a cliche is, but then again, I don’t always give the old Vampire the credit he deserves. On the other hand maybe he is just too cute to be a cliche, sort of like my brother Andy.

Like I’ve said before, most Vampire women are who they are, not defined by what they happen to be. The same goes for Werewolves and Ghosts. Male Vampires, on the other hand are downright sensitive, considering what they are. They have the power of terror and death, yet they brood, get their hearts broken in the most ridiculous ways, try to act tough when they really aren’t, try to pretend they don’t care, and act like teenage boys most of the time. Of course there are exceptions like my brothers Aaron and Val, and my husband Teddy. They’re find. I don’t need to worry about them – or at least worry about what they are going to do next. They get it. They’re modern guys. And we all know Vampires who act like dingleberries, be they male or female, aren’t going to survive long. I guess that applies to anyone.

That’s it for today. I’m just thinking out loud.

Stay safe everyone.
