Ladies and Gentlemen…
Step right up and see amazing feats of animal skill.
This week brings us to #47 of 50 Burning Questions. I hope over the past 47 weeks that all of you have learned something about yourself and the world around us.
But of all questions… of ALL questions… You KNEW this one was coming.
The groundhog (Marmota monax), also known as a woodchuck, is a rodent of the family Sciuridae, belonging to the group of large ground squirrels known as marmots.
Sooooooooooooo
How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
Burning Question #47: Could a Woodchuck Chuck Wood?
Here is a video of one of the cute little critters in action. Everyone all at once, give me a big “AWWWWWWWWWWW.”
Feel free to leave any questions, answers, or woodchuck stories in the comments area below. You can talk about anything including other animal favorites. How about that new Weezer album? Can woodchucks dance? Sing? How about you? How about skunks, or possums, or lizards? Just say something (nice or funny.)
I’ll see you next week for Burning Question #48.
~ Juliette aka Vampire Maman
I’m disappointed that there wasn’t an answer involving Chuck Norris. Now he can chuck some serious wood!
Another missed opportunity for literary greatness. Norris could seriously chuck anything.
Hey, is Chuck Norris a vampire?
No. Absolutely no. HA HA HA HA
I wonder how many people out there named Chuck Wood have had to put up with a life full of being asked this question. And how does one chuck wood anyway? Does that mean throwing it around? It might be cute if woodchucks randomly threw sticks and twigs all over the place, but it would also be kinda pointless….
lol! Maybe they would chuck them all over the place because they have a strange form of OCD?
Awwww man, that would be annoying. He could go by Charlie or Charles. Then again, it made me think of Ed Wood, but that is a whole other kind of weirdness.
I think chucking wood or anything is just randomly throwing it all over the place, or not carefully throwing or placing an object. Yeah, it is kind of pointless.
At last I know what a woodchuck is. Now I just need to know what a groundhog is (apart from a day in a film) 🙂
A groundhog and a woodchuck are pretty much the same thing with a slight regional difference. But aren’t they cute!
Yep!
A woodchuck named Chuck would chuck as much wood as it would only chucking would tire it so it wouldn’t chuck more wood. 🤨
My head is spinning. HA HA HA HA. Oh well.
I automatically thought about this commercial when I read this Burning Question:
